Las Margaritas restaurant has the distinction of having one of the largest tequila selections in BC, as well as a patio voted one of the best in Vancouver. Serving a Mexican menu with Baja California influences, Las Margaritas is well known for their superb salsa, generous portions and perfectly mixed margaritas.
This is restaurant has an excellent patio for people watching. I suggest to come for lunch if you can, during dinner hours this place is packed.
If you dine here you have to order a margarita. They’re this restaurant’s claim to fame. Made with Sauza Gold Tequila, Triple Sec and freshly squeezed lemon and lime juices as well as their own sweet and sour mix. They’re truly good.
For dinner, try ordering the chicken fajitas, they’re plentiful and tasty. They also come with rice and beans, and a nice pico de gallo topping. But for sure make room for dessert. They have a really nice flan de fiesta.
One thing I did not enjoy was the Mexican rice they used. I found it dry and over cooked. I ordered the combination meal with a chile relleno and a flauta. Chile relleno is a green pepper stuffed with cheese, then coated, deep fried or baked and served with salsa roja, It’s really good, and Las Margaritas dish did not disappoint.
Our service was pleasant but not outstanding. Come to think of it, I’ve been here a few times and the service has never been anything to write about. Just standard.
