Last Saturday I spent a fun day with the family at the grand opening of Toy Jungle/Toy Box new Kitsilano store at 2933 West Broadway. The franchise has two other stores: one in South Surrey and another one in Park Royal.
Gary and Misti are the founders of the Toy Jungle in Vancouver, British Columbia, and since 1997 their community stores have been putting smiles on kids faces and bringing families together with unique toys from around the world.
The grand opening included visits from Mrs Norwood from Calico Critters (which Dylan warmed up to right away!) and Groovy Girl.
Other activities included: spin the prize wheel, a magic show, discounts, cake, and of course, lots and lots of toy demos. I was very impressed by the large amount of education toys available, and by the knowledgeable staff.
The store has a play area for the kids, where they can “test” the toys and give feedback. I thought that was pretty cool.
