Discover Surrey’s New Hotspot – Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge

Surrey’s bustling Central City neighborhood has just welcomed Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge, a new restaurant concept where you can indulge in West Coast cuisine and sip on crafted cocktails, wine, and beer.

Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge is conveniently located at 190-13450 102 Ave., right in the heart of Central City and across the street from Surrey Centre Skytrain station. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, this spot is perfect for both the lunch crowd and night owls.

Boasting a massive 6,000 sq. ft. space with 250 seats inside and another 100 outside there’s plenty of room to enjoy Skye Avenue’s casually elegant ambiance, making it a great choice whether you’re there for a laid-back lunch, a fun happy hour, or a sophisticated dinner. And let’s not forget Sunday Brunch!

Leading the front of house is Richard Goodine, a hospitality industry veteran with over three decades of experience. Richard’s impressive resume includes roles like Chief Operating Officer at Steel Toad Brewing Co. and General Manager at The Post Hotel & Spa in Lake Louise, AB. He’s also known for curating award-winning wine lists, so you know you’re in good hands.

In the kitchen, Executive Chef Valerio Pescetelli brings his Italian roots and international experience to the table. Chef Valerio started his culinary journey in London at hotspots like Orso and Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill. He’s also left his mark on Vancouver’s dining scene at places like Per Se Social Corner and Aquafarina. Now, he’s ready to wow you at Skye Avenue.

What’s on the Menu?

Chef Valerio’s dinner menu is a celebration of local ingredients and West Coast flavors. Here are some highlights:

  • Fresh Vegan ‘Ricotta’: Made from fresh almond extraction, served with slow-roasted tomatoes, aged balsamic, and artisanal bread.
  • Burrata Salad: Herb-marinated eggplant, brioche, red pesto, and Peruvian pepper.
  • Wagyu Beef Carpaccio: Featuring Snake River Farms beef, aged Pecorino Toscano, truffle cookies, and arugula.
  • Tuna Tataki: Bluefin tuna with tomato, pistachio, tortilla, and avocado.
  • Pizza: Options include Margherita, Prosciutto & Burrata, and Vegetarian Pomodoro.
  • Soy-Glazed Salmon: BC King salmon with red quinoa, mushroom, seasonal vegetables, and lemon beurre blanc.

Skye Avenue isn’t just about dinner. They offer a weekday lunch menu packed with delicious starters, salads, pizzas, bowls, and handhelds. Don’t miss the Chef’s Burger, a local legend from Pescetelli’s time at Per Se Social Corner.

For brunch lovers, Sunday Brunch at Skye is a must-try. Think Skye Eggs Benny with various toppings, French Toast Banana Rocher, Crispy Chicken Waffles, and much more. Plus, there are Mimosas in different flavors and a full menu of sweet and savory Caesars.

Don’t Forget the Bar

Named after Scotland’s Isle of Skye, famous for its whisky, Skye Avenue features a Whisky Lounge with over 3,000 bottles. Whether you’re a fan of peated or non-peated whisky, there’s something for everyone.

Cocktail enthusiasts will love the creative concoctions like the ‘Miami Vice,’ ‘Salish Sea,’ ‘Lady Luck,’ and ‘Cosmo Kramer.’ And if wine or craft beer is more your style, you’ll find plenty of options from BC’s best breweries and wineries.

“At Skye, dining is all about gathering together around the table, relishing exceptional cuisine, and sharing those unforgettable experiences that unite us all,” says Richard Goodine. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, after-work drinks, or a weekend outing, Skye Avenue Kitchen & Lounge is excited to welcome you for a truly memorable dining experience with a side of West Coast hospitality.
