Provence Marinaside’s 8th Annual Lobster Festival: Indulge in Fresh Atlantic Flavors

Indulge in the Sumptuous Flavors of Fresh Atlantic Lobster This June

Provence Marinaside’s popular Lobster Festival is back for its eighth year, running from June 1st through the end of the month. This annual event is a must for seafood lovers, offering an array of dishes featuring the delicious flavours of fresh Atlantic lobster, whether you prefer it steamed, grilled, boiled, or sautéed.

Owner and Executive Chef Jean-Francis Quaglia, who grew up celebrating seasonal catches in Marseille, has brought that spirit to Provence Marinaside. “In Marseille, there was always a celebration of the various seasonal catches. Something similar happens in PEI and Nova Scotia with their traditional Lobster Boils. In that spirit of seasonality, we started offering our Lobster Festival in 2015, and it’s proved so popular, we’ve brought it back every year since then (with the exception of 2020),” says Chef Quaglia.

A Special Three-Course Menu with Optional Wine Pairing

The Lobster Festival features a special three-course menu priced at $89 per person, with an optional two-course wine pairing available for an additional $36. For those who prefer a different pairing, Provence Marinaside offers an impressive selection of 125 wines-by-the-glass and over 260 wines by the bottle.

This year, Wine Director Joshua Carlson has paired the menu with wines from Nova Scotia’s multi-award-winning winery, Benjamin Bridge. “In keeping with our philosophy of ‘what grows together goes together,’ I chose to pair the menu of Nova Scotia lobster with wines produced there as well,” Carlson explains. “Benjamin Bridge Vineyards’ sparkling wines display the hallmarks of classic prestige cuvées from Champagne, but with a Nova Scotia signature.”
