Meet Ted Anderson. He’ll be joining Executive Chef Chris Mills at JOEY as their new Concept Development Chef.
A born and raised Vancouverite, Ted began his career at Grouse Mountain’s Grouse Nest Restaurant, He has gathered a wealth of experience over the years, working with different mentors around the city including the likes of Don Letendre and David Hawksworth.
An avid traveller, he has a taste for world food, including Italian, Asian and Euro flavours. He is bringing his passion for global techniques of cooking to the JOEY concept! His resume includes C Restaurant and Fuel.
A risk taker, He’s also tried his hand at opening his own restaurant, a fusion of Chinese and South Asian food called Fat Dragon.
After gaining considerable experience in the culinary world, Ted’s next move was to add to his family with his second son and this time, decided to take some time to enjoy fatherhood. Now, after spending some time at home with his sons, Ted is back in the culinary world and has joined the JOEY Restaurant Group as the new Concept Development Chef… as long as he doesn’t touch the crispy mashed potatoes, I have a feeling he’ll do just fine.
