Vancouverites can now enjoy the popular Japanese cafe, Daigyo, which is set to grand open on February 18, 2023, at 1725 Robson Street.
Daigyo offers a range of tasty treats, such as Japanese coffee, pressed sandos, tea-infused desserts, beverages, and soft-serve ice cream, as well as premium organic matcha from Japan’s Shizuoka region. This 1,100 square-foot counter service spot boasts 10 seats and a peaceful atmosphere, thanks to its warm wood shelving and soft lighting
Daigyo Cafe offers a wide selection of drinks, from lattes and teas to premium matcha. Their two special kinds of matcha are Spring Matcha Powder, which is vibrant green and has a sweet taste, and Winter Matcha Powder, which is stronger and more bitter. They also have a variety of iced confections, such as the White Peach Jasmine Smoothie and Organic Matcha Floats. Their house specials include affogatos with matcha soft serve, Daigyo espresso, and Yuzu O-Matcha.
At Daigyo, guests can enjoy a variety of cold and savoury treats. From matcha soft serve to custom parfaits with different toppings, there’s something for everyone. For a unique experience, try one of their Japanese Pressed Sandos. Featuring a delicious filling inside Shokupan (Japanese milkbread), these sandos are pressed to order and enjoyed warm. There are three savoury flavours – Tartare Chicken, Crispy Shrimp, and Spicy Octopus – as well as three sweet flavours – Purple Sweet Potato, Red Bean Shiratama, and Japanese Cheese.
On February 18th and 19th, 2023 guests can buy one and get another free from a selection of drinks. Daigyo Cafe will be open from 11am to 9pm, Monday to Sunday. For more information visit www.daigyo.ca
