Care to dance? quieren bailar?
I am living proof that not all latin people can dance… when it came to the gene pool, my sister Daisy got the skinny genes, and my sister Silvia got the dancing genes… you should see her, she’s simply amazing on the dance floor. I’m still figuring out what I got, but I’m pretty sure it has something to do with chocolate.
For all of us who ever wished they could dance, or simply love to watch, on Saturday, November 13, all the top salsa schools in Vancouver will take part in The Salsa Showcase – an event that highlights their latest shows and their best dancers.
The night begins at 8:30 pm when absolute beginners are encouraged to come to the beginner’s lesson. At 9;30 pm you can show off your new moves at the Red and Black Gala – where you can begin to dance the night away. At 10:30 pm the event heats up when the best salsa dancers in Vancouver take the stage. This year also features dancing superstars Adolfo & Clara from Italy.
After that, you can dance, dance, dance to your heart’s content until 2:00 am!
Some of the performers this year include Grupo America, Sabor Asi, Martinez Dance Company, The Hustlers, Salsa Kapow, Somos El Son, and more. For more information about The Showcase or upcoming salsa events in Vancouver, check out their website: madsalsaproductions.com
