Hey everyone, if you can, make sure you check out these two great events at The Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown tomorrow. (April 20th)
Bake for the Quake – 6:00 – 8:30 This is a collective bake sale with all the proceeds going to Doctor’s Without Borders to help victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Japan. There will be baked goodies from some of the most talented cooks and bakers in Vancouver, including Sweet Tease Cupcakes, Kimberley’s Kitchen and twitter’s very own Baked in Vancouver.
Things to remember: Make sure you bring plenty of cash, as there will not be credit card sales available, also make sure you bring reusable bags and plenty of containers to bring your goodies home.
There will also be a silent auction and ruffle prizes.
Typo – This is a photography exhibit created by Candice Albach, challenges all of us to uncover racism and prejudice one picture at a time. This very intimate exhibit showcases members from our Vancouver community, such as Minna from The Network Hub, and Karm from Vancitybuzz.com. The event is free, but you are encouraged to register at http://typo.eventbrite.com/
Hope to see many of you there :)
