There are a lot of great restaurants on the Kingsway/Metrotown area. Across from Metropolis at Metrotown is one of them: Sushi Garden.

When coming here, expect a bit of a wait. This place is always packed. It’s not unusual to have a 5-15 minute wait, especially at lunch time.

I found the prices very reasonable and the portions generous. Their lunch time combos are a great value – my favourite: The California combo: a large California roll with salmon, tuna and shrimp sushi. Only $7. Can’t beat that value.

The rolls are really good too, always fresh, and tasty. They have some items that are a must try: Their Alaska rolls are great: Avocado rolls topped with salmon sashimi and a special sauce. Very tasty. Also the spicy tuna sashimi is delicious. A warning: it’s very, very spicy.
