T thai Grill & Seafood in Hoboken, New Jersey is a small out of the way restaurant with some very flavorful dishes. I have passed this spot millions of times as I use to work around the corner from it and decided tonight to stop in for a quick bite. The place is small with only about 10 tables but after being seated around 4:30pm it filled up quickly with every table being occupied. The staff is friendly and the menu has lots to choose from. I heard their Red Curry is one of the more popular dishes, although we went another route for dinner.
My dinning partner and I both had the Tom Yum Soup – Hot & Sour Lemongrass Shrimp Soup for $3.50. It was full of Thai spices with 3 colossal shrimp I was quite impressed with the flavor and would return just for this soup. I had the Sauteed Jumbo Shrimp, Sea Scallop & Chicken with Chili Basil Sauce for $17.95, my dinning partner had the Chicken with Ginger Sauce – Chicken with fresh Ginger, Mushroom & Scallion for $8.25. This dish came with Jasmin Rice but I did order the Coconut Rice which was full of milky coconut flavor. We decided to share a dessert and I’m glad we did it was a perfect way to end a great meal. For $4.95 we had the Fried Banana with Honey & Vanilla Ice Cream.
T thai Grill & Seafood does take out and delivers locally. They offer specials each evening but the hot dishes at this eatery are the Grilled Jumbo Shrimps with Chili Sauce Appetizer for $6.95, the Grilled Chillean Sea Bass with Mango Salad & Chile Lime Sauce for $17.50 and the Combination Fried Rice for $8.50.
