Explore Seattle Your Way with CityPASS

Planning our first family trip to Seattle was exciting yet overwhelming. With so many attractions, we wanted to make the most of our time. Luckily, we discovered the Seattle CityPASS, which was the perfect solution for our adventure-packed vacation with our 11-year-old.

When it comes to discovering the vibrant city of Seattle, there’s no better way than with the Seattle CityPASS. This convenient ticket booklet not only saves you time and money but also offers flexibility in planning your visit. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned local exploring anew, the CityPASS ensures you experience the best of Seattle’s attractions.

One of the reasons we chose CityPASS it’s because we wanted flexibility and ease in exploring the city’s highlights at our own pace. The Seattle CityPASS offered exactly that. Here’s why we loved it:

  • Create Your Own Experience: We didn’t have to decide upfront which attractions to visit. This was perfect for our spontaneous style and allowed us to adjust our plans based on our daily mood and weather.
  • Significant Savings: CityPASS saved us a lot of money compared to buying individual tickets. It felt great knowing we were getting the best value.
  • Simplified Exploration: With CityPASS, we didn’t need to worry about buying tickets at each location. We had everything we needed in one booklet, making our trip hassle-free.

These are some of the attractions we visited this time around:

1. Space Needle

The Space Needle is Seattle’s most recognized landmark and it offers a dual-level experience that’s truly unparalleled. On the open-air deck, you can lean out over the city against tilting glass walls and relax on Skyriser glass benches. Move one floor below to The Loupe, the world’s first and only revolving glass floor, where you can enjoy mesmerizing views of Seattle below. This was such a cool experience for my 11-year-old. His favourite part was the elevator and taking in the breathtaking views of the city below.

2. Seattle Aquarium

Located just steps away from Pike Place Market, the Seattle Aquarium is home to playful sea otters, seals, a giant Pacific octopus, and luminous moon jellies. Marvel at the Window on Washington Waters, a floor-to-ceiling habitat with daily dive shows, and get hands-on with live sea creatures in the tide pools. The aquarium’s mission to inspire the conservation of our marine environment makes it both an educational and entertaining experience.

3. Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)

We dove into the world of pop culture with immersive exhibitions and artifacts from music, movies, video games, and more. Being a pop culture fanatic like myself, this is one of my favourite places to visit while in Seattle. To be able to celebrate my passion for music and pop culture with my family was very special. Dylan was mesmerized by the music artifacts from legends like Jimmy Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder. Whether you’re a fan of Nirvana, Sci-Fi, or horror films, MoPOP celebrates all facets of pop culture.

Plus, Choose Up to Three More Attractions:

If you have more time than we did, the CityPASS offers admission to an additional three attractions:

  • Chihuly Garden and Glass: You can explore the stunning works of glass art by Dale Chihuly, set against the backdrop of the iconic Space Needle. I’ve been to it before and this museum is a must for any art lover.
  • Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour: This narrated cruise around Elliott Bay and Seattle Harbor, offers breathtaking views and fascinating insights into Seattle’s maritime history.
  • Woodland Park Zoo: You can discover wildlife from around the world at this award-winning zoo. From the African savanna to the tropical rainforest, the zoo provides a habitat for a diverse range of animals.
  • Pacific Science Center – This is a new addition to CityPASS. Explore interactive exhibits and live science demonstrations at the newly included Pacific Science Center. Perfect for visitors of all ages, this attraction makes science fun and accessible.
