Oh, pumpkin spice, how I love thee! The leaves are turning. The air is crisp. Maan Farms’ Scariest Corn Maze in Canada is back for another round of spooky fun. It opens on September 27th and runs until November 3rd. It’s time to get lost in Agatha’s ever-evolving saga. You might cry a little. This unseen witch is apparently working through some serious rage issues.

First things first, let’s talk about Agatha. If she were a character in a sitcom, she’d definitely be the one who takes things a bit too personally when someone “accidentally” spills pumpkin spice on her favorite broomstick. Seriously, she’s got enough rage to power a small village—or, you know, a corn maze. Each of the attractions has received a spook-tacular facelift, now known as The Kept at the Slaughterhouse, Forsaken at The Way Down, and Echo at Homestead. Talk about a title that sets the mood!

Now, The Kept is where things really kick into high gear. Inspired by The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this attraction is designed to make you feel like you’re walking through a cornfield that just might eat you alive. The corn stalks are taller than your average horror movie villain, and they seem to have a mind of their own. Trust me, when those spirits of darkness start closing in on you, it’s like the worst game of hide and seek ever—and there’s no place to hide!

Then we have Forsaken, which takes your most irrational fears and cranks them up to eleven. Arachnophobia? Oh, don’t worry, you’ll be face to face with some eight-legged nightmares. This was my worse fear! Coulrophobia? Get ready to meet clowns that make Pennywise look like your friendly neighbourhood jester. And if you’re feeling a bit too overwhelmed, just utter the safe word “chicken.” Yes, I said “chicken.” I love that it’s not just a word; it’s a lifestyle choice.

The grand finale? Echo at Homestead. Picture this: a haunted house that’s basically a living, breathing entity. I don’t know about you, but if my house ever starts talking back to me, I’m out. The sets have been redesigned with elements imported from across the globe, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a different dimension—one where nightmares come to life and you might just find yourself bargaining with a malevolent force for your sanity.

But don’t worry; all this fear can work up quite an appetite! Between attractions, Mama Maan’s Country Kitchen has you covered with seasonal delights like freshly popped kettle corn (because what’s a maze without some buttery goodness?), pumpkin spice everything (because obviously), and even apple pie tacos. If you think that sounds like a party, wait until you try the Mad Pumpkin and Mad Apple spice wines. Yes, wine in blood bags. Because nothing says “haunted” like sipping wine from a bag, am I right?
