I have to admit, I’m a huge Banksy fan. His way of blending art with sharp, witty social commentary on life, politics, and everything in between has always fascinated me. I remember being in New York City with Josh when they had a Banksy exhibit there. We were so close, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time to check it out—and I’ve regretted it ever since. That’s why I’m beyond excited that this exhibition is finally making its way to Vancouver. There’s no way I’m missing it this time! Mark your calendars—it opens on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 1 Alexander Street in Gastown.

What to Expect
This is a full-on immersive experience that brings Banksy’s rebellious, thought-provoking work indoors like never before. This is a carefully curated collection featuring 200 works designed to educate, inspire, and shake up your perspective – 50 of which have been authenticated by Pest Control, the exclusive body that issues Banksy Certificates of Authenticity—alongside high-quality reproductions, prints, photographs, lithographs, sculptures, murals, and exclusive video mapping installations.
And if that wasn’t enough, Vancouver will host the Western Canadian premiere of a hologram installation that gives visitors a one-of-a-kind look into Banksy’s artistry and the impact he’s had on contemporary culture. That alone is worth the price of admission!

Immersive Installations & Interactive Features
In true Banksy style, this exhibition doesn’t just showcase his work—it pulls you into his world. Some of the key highlights include:
- Infinity Room – Step into a mirrored space where Banksy’s art surrounds you from every angle.
- Dismaland Simulation – A recreation of Banksy’s 2015 dystopian theme park that critiques consumer culture.
- Hologram Installation – Making its Western Canadian debut, this installation offers an unprecedented glimpse into Banksy’s vision.
- Spray-Painting Activity – Get your hands dirty (figuratively speaking) with a fun, interactive feature where you can customize your own T-shirts for a small donation.

I love that Vancouver is bringing these types of exhibits that make us comparable with other big cities. The Art of Banksy: Without Limits is an opportunity to dive deep into the mind of one of the most elusive and impactful artists of our time. His art is a bold, raw, and unfiltered commentary on society, politics, and human nature. I for one, am not missing it this time.
