A Vancouver Escape That Feels Like A Reset.

January always brings a craving for something new. A fresh year, a clean slate, a chance to choose how we want to feel in the season ahead. Some people set intentions. Others lace up their shoes and pound the pavement. And some simply want a night out that leaves them clear-headed in the morning.

Fairmont Waterfront has leaned all the way into that spirit. This month the hotel is celebrating Mindful January with a partnership between all Fairmont properties across Canada and Seedlip, the world’s first non alcoholic spirit. The collaboration brings a menu that feels adult, thoughtful, and full of flavour. It is not about restriction. It is about delight of a different kind.

Seedlip was founded by Ben Branson and draws from centuries old herbal healing recipes. It has helped redefine the non alcoholic world by proving that grown up drinks do not need alcohol to feel special. The menu includes four cocktails, each with its own personality.

Clarity is cool and refreshing with Seedlip Agave, cucumber water, grapefruit, and a whisper of lavender. Warmth leans into cozy comfort with Seedlip Spice 94, apple, mango chai lemonade, cinnamon, and ginger. Awaken surprises with Seedlip Grove 42, coffee, chai, pineapple, and bright orange oil. For anyone who cannot decide, the Reset Flight serves all three in tasting sizes.

The cocktails are here for Mindful January but Fairmont Waterfront’s wellness story stretches far beyond a single month. This place is a haven for anyone who wants to feel good in their body without sacrificing luxury along the way.

The hotel’s year round offerings include a mix of movement, nature, and community. FAIRMONT FIT makes it easy for guests to stay active even if they forgot to pack running shoes. Through a partnership with Reebok, ALL members can borrow sneakers and athletic wear during their stay.

Two mornings a week guests can join the hotel run club. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30 AM, hotel staff lead a casual jog along the seawall. The pace is friendly, the views are unbeatable, and there is something comforting about starting the day with strangers who quickly stop feeling like strangers.

The rooftop pool is one of my favourite parts of the property. Heated all year, open from dawn to late evening, and framed by mountains and ocean, it feels like a pocket of calm carved into the centre of the city. In the summer months that calm comes with cocktails from the poolside bar.

Guests who want to explore beyond the hotel can borrow cruiser bikes at no cost and spend the day pedaling along the Stanley Park seawall. For families, bike gear for children is available to rent across the street.

In the warmer months the hotel adds more ways to connect movement with landscape. Poolside yoga and meditation classes invite you to breathe in salt air and stretch against a backdrop of harbour and sky. Soothe and Savour pairs a yoga and sound bath class with a bottomless brunch. Board and Brunch takes guests paddleboarding through English Bay with views of beaches, wildlife, and the city skyline before sitting down to brunch.

When winter hits the hotel stays playful with its Polar Plunge experience. Led by the hotel’s Chill Experience Officer, guests head to Third Beach for a guided cold dip with hot tea and warm towels waiting on shore. After, everyone returns to the hotel for a hot toddy, full health club access, a cozy branded toque, and yes, bottomless brunch.

Fairmont Waterfront is not only offering a menu. It is offering a feeling. A nudge toward balance, whether that means swapping one night of wine for something botanical and bright, joining a sunrise run, or watching the city wake up from a warm rooftop pool.

Sometimes wellness looks like big changes. Sometimes it looks like trying something new. And sometimes it is as simple as raising a glass that leaves you clear, connected, and fully present for whatever comes next.
