Hopscotch – Vancouver’s Premium Whisky, Beer and Spirits Festival

The ever so popular Hopscotch festival is back for its 16th year and better than ever!

This year lovers of spirits and beers can taste over 300 products, from craft beer to world-famous whiskeys. This year the festival is moving to the PNE Forum, and with 44,000 square feet of exhibition space, the festival will be bigger than ever.

The week long festival includes over 20 events, from Whisk(e)y and Beer Master Classes with distillers, brewers and experts to multi-course paired dinners and more.

Thanks to Epicmedia I had a taste of what Hopscotch has to offer this year!

White Owl Whiskey

From Alberta’s Highwood Distillers comes the only white Canadian whisky on the market today, and the only white whisky anywhere in North America that has been aged long enough to qualify as whisky in Canada. This is an excellent beginners’s Whiskey. Smooth with hints of citrus and a sweet butterscotch finish, it can be mixed to make Caesar or a Martini that you won’t soon forget.

Highland Park

For more refined palates, the Highland Park single malt scotch whisky has been branded as “The Best Spirit in the World”. Highland Park is arguably the most respected single malt in the world. Creamy, with hints of spice and toffee, this is a whisky with a very rich heritage. Legend has it that Highland Park was founded by Magnus Eunson, a preacher by day and an illicit distiller by night.

The Hopscotch Festival runs from November 12-18. Tickets can be purchased online – they’re selling fast, so get yours today!
