The very popular Mahony & Sons brand is bringing their Irish hospitality to Stamps Landing this summer. The family-owned company took over the old Monk’s building and after an extensive renovation, it opened its doors today.
The Mahony brothers are passionate about sharing their Irish heritage -the new restaurant is a testimony to that. Celtic murals and symbols adorn the walls; the work of Gaelic artisans. Millwork and moldings, including the huge bar area, were shipped directly from the Emerald Isle.
The restaurant has a seating capacity of 600 – and that includes a 300 seat patio. With gorgeous views of downtown Vancouver and the marina, this will be a guaranteed hot spot this summer.
The focus of the restaurant is serving casual comfort food made with high quality ingredients. The creation of head chef Paul Nguyen, the menu is varied and includes a mix of cuisines including traditional Irish, classic English, and Asian fusion dishes.
But the food is not the only focus – their bar menu includes an extensive cocktail list, a large selection of craft beer on tap and of course, Guinness.
