Richard Wolak’s Vancouver Taco Challenge continues – this time I find myself at U&I Thai Restaurant. This is the second Thai entry in the challenge. The creation of chef Ui Ratsomjit is called the U&I Thai Fish Taco and it consists of White Basa fish with peanuts, carrots and cabbage served with Thai seafood sauce. The sauce really makes this dish.  The tacos are available daily and cost $8.95 for two.  U&I Thai also carries a creative cocktail list, such as the lychee lemonade – perfect for this hot weather. Another dish worth checking out is the pad thai. I added prawns to mine and it really made the dish. The Vancouver Taco Challenge runs until June 14. Vote for your favourites here.
