What better way to take in the Lunar eclipse than to enjoy it with a glass of wine and Crane Lake Cabernet Sauvignon. From California, this rather affordable wine has a rich and warm ruby colour and the bouquet holds notes of blackberry and cherry. The palate leaves a bit of vanilla with mild traces of oak.

This Cabernet Sauvignon from Crane Lake Cellars is an award winning wine that blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Proprietors’ Dry Red. It is light and smooth with a casual flair.

It can be perfectly paired with delectable bites found at any local deli, this wine goes well with coconut gouda, applewood smoked cheddar,  aged gruyere or Iberian Bellota pork chorizo. Other pairings could include lamb, rib eye steak or pasta in a spicy marinara sauce.

You can purchase this wine at private liquor stores and wine merchants in BC for as little as $14.00.
