As a Mother’s Day treat, my good friend Cassandra Anderton of Good Life Vancouver invited me to be her guest to The TeaPigs Canada pampering event at Blow Dry Bar in the Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver. I’m always on the go; Dylan keeps me pretty busy, plus I also have a full time job on top of my little blog. Needless to say I jumped at the chance to get me some pampering! Aren’t my friends awesome?I’ve never heard of TeaPigs but I got to admit with a name like that, I was more than curious to learn about the brand. Turns out that this company has been around since November 2006, when a couple of tea lovers met and realized there’s a whole world of quality teas out there that simply aren’t getting the attention they deserve! Since then, the company has grown quite a bit and has aquired fans such as Victoria Beckham and other celebrities that love their products. Is not until recently that they’ve started doing business here in Canada – You can find some of their teas at Urban Fare and other specialty stores.
Going thru their website you’ll find that the teas are not only affordable but the variety is humungous!
During our event a Blow, I had a chance to sample a few of the teas. The Lemon and Ginger tea was a favourite and the Green Tea with Mint was definitely delicious – but the one that stood out the most for me was the Liquorice and Peppermint Tea – it was quite sweet and as it turns out, it’s actually naturally sweet. A combination of root liquorice and pure peppermint leaves, this tea is absolutely decadent. I am definitely going to try it cold – I have a feeling it will be great over ice and perfect for summer.
The website offers free delivery on Canadian ground orders over $50. Most of the teas range from $9.99 so $50 will get you quite a bit of tea! There’s also cocktail recipes on their site, which I can’t wait to try.
