Explore Squamish from Above with Sea to Sky Air

The drive to Squamish, BC is a gorgeous one. The city is surrounded by mountains, water falls, rivers and ocean. The natural beauty will take your breath away.  Now, if you think driving up the Sea to Sky Highway is beautiful, imagine flying it.DSC_0029That’s were Sea to Sky Air comes in.  Imagine getting a perfect bird’s eye view of the spectacular scenery that surrounds Squamish.

Thanks to Tourism Squamish Josh and I had one of the ultimate buddy experiences ever. I’ll admit, we were nervous. Fear of flying in a normal size plane is very common. The Cessna 172 plane we got into is a small plane that fits maybe 4 people. Turns out we had nothing to worry about. Our pilot was amazing. Our ride was smoother than a car ride.

DSC_0053See the picture above? That’s the Stawamus Chief – one of the most gorgeous and gratifying hikes you can do in BC. The views from the top of the Chief are amazing. Well, Josh and I got to see a more magnificent view thanks to Sea to Sky Air.  And here’s just a random fact thrown in for flavour: Did you know that the Chief is the world’s second largest granite outcrop? Well, now you know.

DSC_0048This is the City of Squamish.  Ahead is Howe Sound. I know that because our pilot Peter told us.  Our pilot was awesome. He was not only great at putting us at ease, but he knows the area inside and out. DSC_0039

Josh and I really enjoyed our adventure. This is definitely an experience you need to share with someone.
