Aiming to “make mall food better”, Chachi’s opened up their first BC location at Metropolis at Metrotown in the food court last month. Their menu is full of fresh sandwiches and salads, all made from locally-sourced ingredients. Chachi’s roster of local suppliers includes Arctic Meats, Valbella, Nossack, Alberta Cheese, and Yen Bros.
Thanks to Sherman of Sherman’s Food Adventures, I was able to sample a wide variety of their menu.
My personal favourites are the Banh Mi sandwich, Pork with Mac & Cheese, and Hot Philly. If you’re ever stuck on which sandwich to order, feel free to opt for the “build your own sandwich” menu, and choose your bun, meat, cheese, vegetables, spreads, and sides.
All the sandwiches are made fresh right in front of you, in a tastefully designed space of stainless steel and vintage décor.
Looking for a bite in the morning? Chachi’s also has a few breakfast sandwiches: ham & cheese, mediterranean, and smoked bacon.
Aside from the delicious ingredients, I actually quite enjoyed the bun – crispy and crunchy in the right places, without being too hard to bite into and chew. Regardless of which sandwich you pick, each one will be jam-packed full of fresh goodness.
Next time you’re at Metropolis at Metrotown, Chachi’s is worth a visit for their Manhattan-style sandwiches. They’re also looking to open up two new locations at Pacific Centre and Tsawwassen Mills, so we’ll be seeing more of them in BC yet!
That all looks really good!
