Just south of Chilliwack, and only an hour away from Vancouver, you will find Cultus Lake.
This small community is home to luscious golf courses, fun waterparks, camping grounds, and magnificent views. I had a chance to experience a day at Cultus Lake, courtesy of the new management of Cultus Lake Marina.
I found myself with my good friends Cassandra Anderton and Josh Rimer and a fun-packed itinerary that included riding boats and Seadoo’s around the lake. We were up to the task! The staff at Cultus Marina were very attentive and gave us a thorough safety briefing. Our equipment was pristine: everything from the life jackets to the boats were in mint condition.
Cassandra took the reigns of the boat and off we went! The weather was perfect.
Boating has to be one of the most enjoyable activities in the world. To be in the middle of the lake’s crystal-clear waters with nothing but the wind in your hair and the sound of good friends laughter… I tell you, that’s the life!
For those of you seeking for a bit more of a thrill, riding a jet ski is most likely your thing. I’ve never been on one, so I opted to share my ride with Josh. I don’t want to brag or anything, but I did let him go OVER 10k an hour. All kidding aside, I’m sure Josh would’ve loved to go a heck of a lot faster, but I was terrified! What can I say, I’m such a scared y-cat!
I was, however, the only one in my group to go for a swim thought! I just dived right in. Holy cow the water was cold!
After our fun outings we were treated to a BBQ dinner. What better way to end a fun day at the lake.
Check out Josh’s video of our adventures at Cultus Lake!
Such a fun day! We’ll definitely have to go back.
