And the wait is finally over! After months of waiting, Urban Decay is officially opening their first Canadian freestanding store at BC’s largest shopping mall Metropolis at Metrotown tomorrow, Saturday September 10 at 10:00am.
We had the chance to get a sneak peek into their gorgeous 632 square foot space today, and it’s popping in colour with Urban Decay’s signature purple, and a stunning array of gorgeous products. The store exudes the very message they strive for: feminine, a little dangerous, and a lot of fun.
Urban Decay products available include eyeshadows, mascaras, foundations, lipsticks, and more, including their famous “Naked” eyeshadow palettes.
They also carry select limited edition items only available at Metropolis at Metrotown, such as t-shirts and special lipstick colours.
If you’re looking for some ideas, you only need to look at their inspiration wall, near the cashier, full of images, quotes, and stories.
Don’t be too startled by their resident dog – an oversized chrome statue, paying homage to Urban Decay founder Wende Zomnir’s black Lab, Marley. Think of him as their open declaration of commitment to cruelty-free make-up!
The California-based cosmetics company is certified by both PETA and The Leaping Bunny Program (CCIC) as a cruelty-free company, with many of their products marked as “vegan”, meaning without any animal-derived ingredients. Their cruelty-free values have won the hearts of many make-up users who seek ethical, high-performance products.
You can find Urban Decay right in front of the elevators at Atrium Court near the lovely store where I found the best shampoo for colored hair just a while ago, Upper Level at Metropolis at Metrotown. Share with us what goodies you get from Urban Decay!
