Sunrise Ridge Resort in Parksville BC

We had such a fun time in Vancouver Island – first Sooke and now Parksville!

We stayed at the beautiful Sunrise Ridge Resort – this is another True Key Resorts property – they have 4 signature properties on Vancouver Island.

Sunrise Ridge Resort its only 30 minutes away from Nanaimo. The resort has a modern feel, with state-of-the-art furnishings including a gourmet kitchen in all their suites. I love the home-away-from-home atmosphere and the impeccably manicured gardens. Overall, the resort it’s spotless.

The resorts offers 65 fully furnished apartment-style suites. The suites are roomy with plenty of space for the whole family. Our suite had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room equipped with a flat screen tv, cable and free internet.

One small detail that I found incredibly charming was the abundance of wild bunnies around the resort! My six-year-old was delighted with his little playmates, who were always happy to play hide-and-seek in exchange for a veggie or two.

The resort is located only steps away from the endless beaches of the Strait of Georgia. It’s a beautiful place to visit even on a downcast day. Overall, you have access to over 19K of pristine West Coast shoreline.

Aside from the proximity to the beach, the resorts offer many amenities such a hot tub, a seasonal pool, an outdoor fireplace, WIFI, and many others. Dylan loved the pool, which was conveniently heated to a comfortable 22 degrees.

Aside from the resort, we did lots of fun activities in the Parksville vicinity. Vancouver Island has lots of fun activities for families and couples, everything from hiking, biking, wineries, caving and much more. My next post will have a list of our fun suggestions of what to do.
