Every year, as the holiday season rolls around, I start looking ahead to a few traditions that always make the season feel extra special. One of those is Glow Langley, and this year, I’m even more excited because of the brand new theme: “The Enchanted Forest.” Glow Langley runs from November 21st to December 28th. It is an immersive experience with over a million twinkling lights spread across twenty acres. This year, it promises to be more interactive than ever.

For me, Glow Langley has become a family tradition. Last year, we bundled up, grabbed our tickets, and made an evening of it. One of my favourite memories was seeing Dylan’s face light up as we wandered through the glowing displays, snapping photos with Santa and just enjoying the holiday magic. We captured so many special moments in front of those sparkling lights that I still look back on today.

This year, the three-storey Crystal Palace sounds like the highlight my whole family will love. We’ll be able to climb up and take in the entire landscape of lights from above—it will be great! And the idea of each of us having a magical wand to wave throughout the event, bringing the forest to life as we walk? That’s sure to add a whole new layer of fun. I’m already imagining how much the kid is going to love solving the Rune Stone Mystery Puzzles with their wands and then claiming their reward—it’s the kind of interactive element that will really keep everyone engaged.

And this year we get to meet the new mascots, Fox and Bunny. The mascots always make these kinds of events extra fun for kids, so I can already picture us stopping by their woodland homes to snap a few more pictures for the family album. Every year, we come away with memories we didn’t plan for, and that’s part of what makes Glow Langley so special.

Of course, all of our favorite attractions will be back too. We always make time for the Holiday Train Ride, which offers a peaceful break as we wind through the festive lights. The Craft Corner is another must for my kids, who love to get creative, and the Merry Makers Market is always a good stop to pick up a few unique holiday gifts from local vendors. Ticket prices have stayed the same for three years, and it’s great knowing that all of the activities are included with admission.

Glow Langley also does a good job of keeping everyone comfortable. Last year, the mix of indoor and outdoor attractions, with cozy heated spaces, made the night so much more enjoyable. Even though it was chilly outside, we warmed up and keep the fun going. This year, they’re continuing the staggered entry times. I really appreciate this change. It makes the event feel less crowded and more relaxed.

I’m looking ahead to seeing how Glow Langley has grown this year and making even more memories with my family. If you’re thinking about going, I highly recommend it. It’s not just an event—it’s an experience that brings the magic of the holidays to life. And for me, it’s one of those places where family memories are made and captured, year after year.
