New York City is an incredible place to visit, packed with iconic landmarks, world-class entertainment, and rich history. But with so much to see and do, planning an itinerary can feel overwhelming—not to mention expensive. That’s where the Go City Pass comes in. With access to over 100 attractions in NYC alone, this pass makes sightseeing easy, affordable, and flexible.

On our recent trip to NYC, Josh and I used the Go City Pass to visit a mix of cultural, historical, and entertaining attractions. Here’s a look at our experience and why this pass is the best way to explore the Big Apple!
What is the Go City Pass?
The Go City Pass offers visitors the chance to experience a city’s top attractions at a fraction of the cost. Available in 31 cities worldwide, including major U.S. destinations and international hotspots, the pass allows you to select from a variety of experiences—from must-see museums to unique activities you might not have thought of.
It’s available in different formats, including an All-Inclusive Pass (where you can visit as many attractions as you can within a set number of days) and an Explorer Pass (where you choose a certain number of attractions to visit at your own pace).
The Go City app makes everything seamless—you simply show your pass at the entrance of an attraction, and you’re in! Some experiences require reservations, but we found the booking process easy and hassle-free.
Our NYC Go City Pass Experience
We curated an itinerary that balanced entertainment, culture, and history, hitting five incredible attractions throughout our trip.
1. The Museum of Broadway

For theater lovers, the Museum of Broadway is a must-visit! This interactive museum takes you on a journey through the history of Broadway, from its origins to today’s biggest hits. We loved exploring the behind-the-scenes elements of productions, seeing original costumes and props, and stepping into immersive exhibits. It’s a dream come true for anyone who enjoys the magic of live theater.
2. RiseNY

This was one of the most unexpected and thrilling attractions! RiseNY is an immersive experience that combines a mini museum, documentary film, and a flying theater ride that lifts you up as if you’re soaring over NYC. It gives you a breathtaking aerial view of the city’s landmarks while making you feel like you’re actually gliding through the skyline. It’s a fantastic mix of history and excitement. There were tons of fun photo ops for the ‘gram, so you can make all your friends and f.
3. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum 🤩

You can’t go wrong with a visit to Madame Tussauds! This famous wax museum is home to incredibly lifelike celebrity figures, from Hollywood stars to world leaders. We had so much fun posing with our favorite celebrities (hello, RuPaul and Beyonce!) and exploring themed rooms filled with detailed wax figures. It’s the perfect place for fun photos and lighthearted entertainment. I’ve been to this museum in several other cities and countries and the NYC one is full of pop culture fun that you can’t miss.
4. The Ride Bus Tour
One of the most unique ways to see the city, The Ride is not your typical bus tour. Instead of just listening to a guide talk about NYC landmarks, this experience turns the streets into a stage! The bus features stadium-style seating facing out towards the city, and along the way, performers pop up on the sidewalks to entertain the passengers. In the beginning I didn’t think it was staged – the flow was so natural and organic. With music, comedy, and interactive fun, this was one of the highlights of our trip! Plus,
5. Catacombs Tour at St. Patrick’s Basilica

For a more historical and mysterious experience, we took the Catacombs by Candlelight Tour at St. Patrick’s Basilica. This tour takes you beneath the church to explore its hidden crypts, where some of NYC’s most influential figures are buried. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the city’s past, and the dimly lit atmosphere added a touch of eerie excitement. It was a unique way to dive into NYC’s history in a way we hadn’t experienced before.
Why Choose the Go City Pass?
With over 100 attractions to choose from, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re into museums, entertainment, sightseeing, or adventure.

The Go City app makes everything simple. You can browse attractions, check reservation requirements, and just scan your pass at the entrance—no need to carry multiple tickets!
Some attractions require reservations, but most allow you to just show up and walk in, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace.
Go City isn’t just for NYC—it’s available in 31 cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Paris, and Sydney. If you love sightseeing, this is hands-down the best way to explore any destination.
If you’re planning a trip to New York City (or any other major city), the Go City Pass is the perfect way to experience the best attractions without breaking the bank.
