Uva Wine Bar

Vancouver, let me introduce you to my new restaurant crush: Uva Wine Bar.

I was impressed by their wine list: Not only it was extensive but very affordable. I enjoyed a delicious Sauvignon Blanc from Kettle Valley Winery.

We started our meal with a few of their bruschettas. We ordered the meatballs tomatoes chilly and parmesan, beets goat cheese and vin cotto, and the roast pumpkin and goat cheese. Their brushcettas range from $3.50 to $5 making them affordable to share.  I still can’t decide which one was my favourite. The meatballs were so moist and the sauce was spicy and delicious. The beets and goat cheese combo was fantastic and the roast pumpkin and goat cheese? heavenly.

For our main course we ordered some pastas. Their pastas are made from scratch everyday and they were delicious. My risotto was the best I’ve ever tasted! it was cooked to perfection, and the portion was very, very generous.

By far this has got to be one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The ambience was fantastic, great lighting and decor. Our server was attentive and offered suggestions freely. This experience has definitely left me wanting more.
