So last time I wrote about The American Cheesesteak Co, I talked about their amazing food, great space and the fact that I had a bit of a crush on celebrity Chef Anthony Sedlak.
Sure he is charming, funny and ridiculously good looking, and he seems like a really nice guy. But now he’s gone out and proven it.
I’m in trouble.
Together with Karma Exchange, The American Cheesesteak and Anthony Sedlak have partnered up to benefit girls’ education projects in Ghana.
Karma Exchange (www.karmaexchange.com) is a social enterprise that partners local businesses with education and water projects in Northern Ghana. This Valentine’s Day, The American Cheesesteak Company pledged 10% of all their sales to The Savelugu Girl’s Education Project. This Charity helps girls in Northern Ghana pay for school fees and expenses.
But it doesn’t end there – Now until May 31th, 2012, The American Cheesesteak Company will donate $1 from the sale of each large “Cowboy” sandwich.

Living in Canada is a great thing, and we are so blessed to have what we have. This is a fantastic concept: eat great food and help young girls in Ghana. Stop by the American Cheesesteak Co, have a cowboy, make a difference.
And oh, If you see Chef Sedlak, tell him that MaryinVancity says hi. *giggle*
