The city of Vancouver has become the first city in Canada to embrace “Meatless Monday,” encouraging residents to forego meat for one day a week for the sake of the planet and their health. It’s a good thing that Vancouver has a lot of tempting vegetarian restaurants.
I’ve heard this restaurant has the best veggie burgers in Vancouver. I’ve been told that this burgers will make a veggie believer of any carnivore. I was a tad sceptical, so I brought my friends @customersright and @mrmarkrobbins – who are vegetarians, to judge these burgers with me.
We tried three different burgers from their menu: the No Bull Burger, Fiesta Tempeh Burger and the Garden Burger. Prices range from $6 to $9.
The burgers come with a choice of drink and fries. The fries are baked, not fried, and they’re pretty good! We also ordered a side of yam fries to share. If thirsty is what you are, they also have a smoothie bar and a good assortment of cane and zevia-sweetened sodas.
I gotta admit, the burgers really hit the spot. They truly satisfied my craving for something filling and substantial. From all of them, my favourite was the Garden Burger. It had a lot of substance, and the right amount of seasoning. The Fiesta Tempeh had a strong chickpea taste and I would recommend it for someone who is a dedicated vegetarian.
The guys enjoyed their meals, and since they’re my veggie gurus, I give this place a thumbs up!
