Reconnect With Your Inner Child and Mattel #AnytimeisGameTime

Remember fun strategy board games?

Some of the best times I had as a kid were playing with board games and puzzles. Now that I have a kid of my own, I want him to have the same experience. There’s something about playing a game with your family and being connected without the help of technology.

So when Mattel’s Anytime is Game Time Campaign asked me the question “When was the last time you took a break from your busy schedule to play a game?” I realized that it’s been too long. And Mattel is right. Why wait for the perfect moment, when anytime can be game time?

DSC_0032I was sent a game kit containing Mad Gab, Bounce-Off, Apples to Apples and UNO. Game on!

I took the UNO deck to work, and during lunch time, challenged a coworker to a game. So much fun! I also played UNO with my husband, but we’re so competitive, I thought for the sake of my marriage that’s a game best left out of the house.

IMG_5908On Saturday night, I invited my sisters for a game night. Playing Mad Gab with Silvia and Daisy was hysterical.

Daisy: Hit Stuffed Ozze Wallow

Silvia: what?

Me: say it again??

Daisy: HIT Stuffed Ooze Wallow

Silvia: ????

Me:????

Daisy: HIT STUFFED OOZE Wallow!

Daisy: HIT SUFFED OZZE WALLOW!!!! Guys!! HIT STUFFED OOZE WALLOW!!

You get the idea…

IMG_5927Follow them on Twitter @MattelGameOn and tag your own game moment with #GameTimeCAN. The folks at Mattel love to surprise folks!

Also make sure to check them out on Facebook, where they’re giving away free games until November 30th. Good luck!
