Cafe Giovane Introduces Stumptown Coffee Cold Brew #InstameetGiovane

Devotees of Portland’s Stumptown Coffee rejoice! The famous roasters have joined forces with Cafe Giovane at the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel to bring their celebrated Nitro and Cold Brews to fans. There are only four cafes (including Giovane) that carry Stumptown Coffee in Vancouver, and Giovane is the only one that carries their Cold Brew on tap. I was invited to taste test their new offerings.

I’ll admit I’ve never tried Stumptown before. I’ve heard about them, but never tried them. They’re not only famous for their coffee, but their business practices as well. They spend considerable time with the coffee farmers, and they’ve been known to pay up to five times Fair Trade prices for coffee beans they deem worthy. Stumptown has Three other cafes and a roastery in Portland, as well as two locations in Seattle, two in New York and one in Los Angeles. They cater to the coffee connoisseur.

Some of the new offerings include:

Stumptown Original

Served in its own glass bottle, the Original Brew is a bright and bold coffee drink. Hints of citrus and a vanilla finish. This can be enjoyed on its own or over ice. I should mention that all of the Stumptown’s brews have over 30% more caffeine than regular coffee.

Stumptown Cold Brew with Chocolate and Milk

If you like something a little sweeter, this is the one for you. You can drink this one right out of the carton!

Stumptown Cold Brew with Milk

This was my favourite. Creamy and smooth, and with a bold coffee flavour, this is a great pick me up treat.

Another thing to try at Cafe Giovane this summer is their sugar buns! Their new flavours include: raspberry yogurt, lemon blueberry, black forest and my favourite (you must try it!) almond caramel apple.
