Semiahmoo Resort, Golf, & Spa, an iconic seaside resort located on the Semiahmoo Spit in Blaine, Wash., entices couples to spend a romantic weekend away with two special Valentine’s Day menus.

Pierside Kitchen will feature Chef Bruno Feldeisen’s elegant six course Valentine’s Day dinner, including: Fresh Oysters with champagne rose petal granita and chervil; Fennel and Blood Orange Salad with lavender dressing, avocado mascarpone and arugula; Black Cod “Oscar” with pomegranate hollandaise, asparagus and fresh crab; Roasted Venison Loin with chocolate red wine sauce, rutabaga puree and baby carrots; and more. For dessert, guests can enjoy Assorted Truffles and the “Pretty In Pink” with vanilla Bavarian, pink meringue and raspberry sorbet. Harpist Melissa Snow will be on hand to help set the mood.

Valentine’s Day dinner in the Stars Dining Room will feature Chef Bruno’s three courses, including: Seafood Tasting with ahi tuna tartar, Kumamoto oysters with avocado cream and a mini shrimp cocktail with ponzu pearls; Roasted Duck Breast with chanterelle risotto, red wine braised pearl onions and thyme jus; Pop Corn Crème Brulee with salted caramel popcorn and coffee ice cream; and more. Pianist Jon Mutchler will help to create a romantic ambiance.

Pierside Kitchen’s Valentine dinner is $80 per person and STARS Valentine’s Day dinner is $45 per person. Both menus are available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 14. Couples interested in extending their stay can book the Romance Package (starting at $249) which welcomes couples to their king-sized room with locally acclaimed wine, local Thomas Haas chocolates and two Semiahmoo mugs. In the evening, guests can enjoy their S’mores kits at the nightly bonfire. For those looking to pop the question, the Everything but the Ring Package (starting at $249) helps set the mood with a water view king room with chilled, sparkling wine waiting at the pre-chosen perfect location to ask the big question. Guests will also enjoy a 30 minute “latte meeting” the following morning with a wedding consultant for tips on the latest trends and how to begin planning the big day.
