Running now until December 31, the public is invited to experience the nostalgic tradition of the Woodward’s Windows, a magical holiday lighting display, the Sails of Light, and the festive Avenue of Christmas Trees at Canada Place. This is a free event and it’s a great thing to do with your little ones.
“We are thrilled to once again welcome locals and visitors together to enjoy the fun holiday festivities at Christmas at Canada Place,” said Tom Corsie, president, Canada Place Corporation and vice president of real estate, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. “Every year we look forward to inviting the community to enjoy this holiday exhibit, which has become a tradition for so many. We are thrilled to add some exciting new elements this year that everyone, young and old alike, can enjoy.”
New this year is Canada’s North light display on the North Point of Canada Place. Take a walk through this enchanting holiday display where stunning light installations bring radiance to the winter night.
At the heart of the display is Canada Place’s newest winter resident, a 15-foot-tall moose who is in need of a name to properly capture the Canadian holiday spirit! Help us name our moose by submitting your best name suggestion with the hashtags #NameOurMoose #CanadaPlace through your public Facebook or Twitter account. Name submissions will be accepted from November 17 to 22, 2017. The top 10 names will then be posted for public voting from November 24 to 30, 2017 at CanadaPlace.ca.
