Spring is here and what better way to enjoy it than a stroll along Granville Island, dinner and enjoy a night at the theatre – in my case, Murder on the Improv Express with Vancouver Theatre Sports League (VTSL).
Get ready for a night of laughs with the cast of VTSL and its newest show, a murder mystery who-done-it show set in the 1930s, with a train ride through the Canadian Rockies. We’re introduced to our lead, a previous RCMP office turned famous detective, travelling across Canada for vacation.

He is joined by 6 other travellers, each with a different and unique story – these travellers are different each show, with each having their own punchlines and hilarious take to their characters!

As with all other VTSL’s improv shows, audience involvement is key in creating the evening’s story and laughs. Anything goes – make sure to shout out your funniest suggestions! The evening we went, it was non-stop laughter with the characters of the evening – a Hollywood starlet, an orphaned child, two Vaudeville burlesque dancers, a gummy bear business man, and a Communist government official.

They say laughing intensely for 30 minutes is a good workout to burn fat and lose weight – in that case, coming to catching VTSL’s latest Murder on the Improv Express, is the best weight loss regime I can think of!
