The 2018 Holiday Season is in full swing and Tulalip Resort Casino (Conveniently located just a short two-hour drive from Vancouver) is hoping to be first on everyone’s list as their “Home Away from Home” during the most wonderful time of the year.
Tulalip Resort Casino, if you’re not aware of it, is the most distinctive and exciting gaming, dining, meeting, entertainment and shopping destination in Washington State. The AAA Four-Diamond luxury resort’s world-class amenities include a casino; luxury hotel; a full-service T Spa along with eight dining venues. It also showcases the intimate Canoes Cabaret and a 3,000-seat amphitheater. Previously, we have enjoyed Tulalips hospitality, dining at their highly-acclaimed Blackfish Wild Salmon Grill & Bar, and have felt truly rejuvenated by indulging in the impeccable service at T Spa. Also, on our way back to Canada we’ve shopped nearby at the famed Seattle Premium Outlets, which offer access to over 130 designer name stores.
During the upcoming holidays, guests at this amazing Resort can indulge in irresistible food and beverage specials throughout their venues, and for this year they have planned a special treat.
Right now they are inviting everyone to come and celebrate Christmas Dinner (Dec 25) and New Year’s Eve (Dec 31) at the Blackfish Wild Salmon Grill & Bar.
This restaurant is particularly unique in that it offers a seafood-centric menu paying tribute to regional Northwest ingredients and Tulalip tradition. Even the salmon is prepared using traditional tribal techniques over an open fire pit. Blackfish’s casual, vibrant atmosphere is reminiscent of a Tulalip Longhouse, which provides the perfect backdrop for the restaurant’s daily offerings. The Wine Spectator award-winning wine list, visionary cocktails, and microbrews fill out the experience. So, we are particularly excited at the new array of chef-inspired Holiday dishes, tempting desserts and perfectly paired wines prepared by Chef David Buchanan.
This year he has created a Christmas Trilogy special menu which features a 1/3 Sous Vide Rack of Lamb with cherry demi-glace; Maple Glazed Pork Belly; and Seared Jumbo Scallops served over a sweet pea puree. It’s also served with fingerling potatoes and a medley of brussels sprouts, butternut squash, candied pecans and dried cranberries for $49 per person. Sounds delicious!
And, if you’re in the mood for Christmas Day sweetness, try Pastry Chef Nikol Nakamura’s Dessert Tipsy Trifle made with layers of sponge cake, fresh raspberries, raspberry jam, brandy syrup and whipped cream for $9.
Dinner service is from 3pm until 10pm, and a full menu will also be available. I suggest that you call to make a reservation as it’s probably going to be super busy.
For ringing in the New Year, Chef David Buchanan has created a special menu of an 8-ounce Filet Mignon coated with a roasted garlic-pecan crust and topped with Twin Sisters Bleu Cheese alongside his Tillamook cheese potato hash laced with apples and wild boar bacon wrapped asparagus for $46.
Finish the evening with Pastry Chef Nikol Nakamura’s Champagne-Soaked Sponge Cake with layers of strawberry and champagne buttercreams for $9.
Dinner service on New Years is from 5pm until midnight, and the full menu will also be available.
