Heirloom is one of the few organic vegetarian restaurants that have popped up in Vancouver recently.
Fully licensed, Heirloom offers wine, beer, lunch/brunch and dinner, Upon going into Heirloom, you are greeted with friendly staff. You will also notice the decor is very country chic, with a roaring fireplace and pitch forks and shovels as wall decoration.
The menu itself had plenty of options and I had a hard time choosing just one thing. I ended up having the open face garden omelette (which was gluten-free) and my friend had the Huevos Rancheros (which was gluten-free and vegan). The pricing is a tad on the pricier side but on par with other restaurants who offer organic fare in Vancouver.
Being somewhat of a control freak when it comes to what goes into my food, I had a few modifications for my order and the waiter didn’t blink an eye (awesome!).
The food can be described as clean and healthy; you definitely know you are eating something good for you! Nothing dripping in oil and you can tell fresh, quality ingredients are used in every dish.
Overall, Heirloom is a fantastic option for lunch/brunch or coffee with a friend on a cold/rainy Vancouver day.
