Canadian craft brewer Steam Whistle Brewing hosted their second annual Oktoberfest party at The Imperial on September 20th.
Folk music by The Rheinlander Oom-pah Band and entertainment by the AVC Edelweiss Dancers from the Austria Vancouver Club provided an authentic German experience.
But the most delicious part of the evening? Steam Whistle’s smooth and refreshing Pilsner was served in ceramic steins, which attendees got to keep as a souvenir, and is crafted with traditional European brewing methods and only four, natural ingredients under the watchful eye of their Czech Brewmaster.
The traditional German food seriously hit the spot. Mouthwatering sausage by Vancouver’s own Bestie was served with sauerkraut, bratwurst in a bun and pretzels with a side of mustard. Huge pickles for $2 were available to snack on.
Attendees also made sure to dress the part. Dirndl for the ladies, lederhosen for the gents and German steins for all.
