Happy Planet sure knows how to peak a blogger’s curiosity. Prior to the release of their two new fresh soups, I received a tote bag filled with recipes clues and an invitation to the Dirty Apron Cooking School for a soup-centric dinner.
We were greeted by Team Happy Planet and Chef David Robertson who shared with us tips and tricks on how to make a good soup base.
The two new flavours are Thai Chicken Soup and Kawartha Chicken Noodle.
The Thai Chicken Soup included chunks of organic chicken in a fragrant broth of Thai basil, lemongrass and green curry. It had hints of coconut and carrots, corns, mushrooms and bamboo shoots. It also had a hint of spice. It was light and full of flavour. Also the flavours were so fresh, I can’t believe this is a pre made soup!
The Kawartha Chicken Noodle Soup also includes chunks of 100% organic, free-range chicken. This is a fresh new take on traditional chicken noodle as they’ve added orzo, parsley and a pinch of thyme; and comfort food at its finest.
Both these soups don’t contain any chemicals or preservatives, and use only certified ingredients when available. That’s fresh soup love!
But don’t take my word for it, taste for yourself! You can find Happy Planet soups at your local grocer.
