Faubourg Bakery raises $20,000 for cancer research

As a girl with a sweet tooth, I am always more than happy to consume my share of macarons. As a girl with a heart, I am definitely happy to celebrate a win for charity through these decadent sweets!

Faubourg Bakery invited us to a celebration at their beautiful Hornby location, one of their three locations in the Lower Mainland. Their unique Parisian experience brings a treasure trove of elegant desserts (including their Parisian macarons), coffees, and teas to downtown Vancouver, Kerrisdale and Park Royal in West Vancouver.

Earlier in the month, they celebrated Macaron Day on March 20 by offering their signature Parisian-style macarons for half price ($1), with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Canadian Cancer Society.

Owner of Faubourg Bakery Franck Point welcomed us to his elegant soiree with two glorious macaron towers of every colour imaginable, as well as a quick speech to speak about the event. With a big smile and to a resounding round of applause, he announced Faubourg sold a record-breaking 10,000 maracons on March 20.

But that’s not all! Faubourg generously matched the amount, bringing the total donation amount to the BC Cancer Foundation to an awe-inspiring $20,000. Franck presented the cheque to Lou del Gobbo, Interim President and CEO of BC Cancer Foundation.
