Ride the Sea to Sky Gondola to Adventure

If you’re looking for adventure, look no further than your backyard. Set between Shannon Falls Provincial Park and the iconic Stawamus Chief Provincial Park, The Sea to Sky Gondola takes you on a ten minute gondola ride that goes over 885 metres above sea level to provide easy access to a wide array exciting activities.

Taking the gondola up, you’re treated to some gorgeous vistas, It was so beautiful to be up there. Also the ride up was very smooth, so if you’re squeamish about heights, just keep your eyes on the prize and you won’t feel a thing!

But seriously, how often do you get to see something like this? This is one of the coolest things to do in Squamish. I loved the gondola, the views going up are breathtaking!

DSC_0059Once you get up there, there’s an array of activities to choose from. Everything from hiking to rock climbing, and even yoga. There’s also fresh and local cuisine available at the Summit Eatery and Edge Bar. The restaurant has beautiful facilities, and of course, the views. I can’t help but imagine how gorgeous this venue would be to host a wedding or another special occasion.

Another fun thing to do is going across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge -the Bridge is approximately 100 metres long and offers amazing 360 degree views of the area. I think us locals take for granted how gorgeous our province really is. This is a good place to take your out-of-town guest to experience BC’s spectacular natural beauty thru their eyes.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy nature and have amazing views without hiking up for hours, this is the place for you. The trails are family friendly and range for easy to advance physical levels. Activities change seasonally, so make sure to check their website for more info, including how to get there, ticket prizes and more.
