With such a multicultural audience in Vancouver, it seems like a no-brainer for the Taiwan Tourism Bureau to host a #TaiwanNowBoarding reception in the heart of the downtown at Robson Square last week.

Many Taiwanese and non-Taiwanese people alike registered to attend and see the cultural and culinary experiences that Taiwan has to offer. Some of the featured booths include Shiny Tea (3 locations in Lower Mainland), Lions Travel, and Tourism Taiwan.

Never been to Taiwan? Visitors had the chance to virtually explore Taiwan’s beautiful coastline while riding on stationary bikes to move the camera.

The highlight of the evening was when registered guests with passports crossed their fingers and hoped to be one of the 12 lucky winners for an instant weekend getaway to Taiwan. Each of the lucky winners were whisked away from Robson Square, straight to Vancouver International Airport for their 2am flight to Taipei, Taiwan.
