White Rock is such a beautiful place to visit, and it is home to some very nice restaurants, one of which is Geoff’s on the Corner.

Geoff’s On The Corner is a gourmet bistro and wine bar with a variety of well-priced appetizers, share plates, entrees, fine wines and cocktails.  This restaurant is almost out of the way from most of the common, tourist trap spots. Located in a mainly residential area, the place has a nice, low key vibe. Perfect for a quite, romantic meal.

I would call the menu west coast inspired, although there was a mediterranean feel to it as well. The menu showcases fresh, local ingredients. The wine list has a large variety of local and Italian wines, and it changes seasonally.

The salads have a lot of detail – like home made crostinis and crispy vegetables. The salad dressings are made in house. My caesar salad was delectable. The dressing was tangy and the romaine was so crispy and fresh.

Although the menu is limited (due to the use of local and in-season ingredients) I found it to be large enough to satisfy me. I highly recommend the steamed mussels while dining here. They were fantastic.

I found the wine list to be more than adequate and well paired with the menu. The wine was also reasonably priced.

One of the things I loved the most of my experience at this restaurant is how relax and comfortable the experience is. Geoff is the head chef and it’s easy to see he loves his restaurant and what he does. He created a tasting menu for us which was memorable as well as delicious.

One dish I will recommend is the Grilled tenderloin steak. My meat was perfectly cooked and succulent.

For dessert, we opted for a glass of port and a cheese plate – the cheese plates is something else this restaurant does well. We were greeted by a variety of delicious and well-paired local cheeses. This is something else I recommend.

If you’re visiting WhiteRock, this restaurant is a must.
