Whole Lotta Shakin’ from Swing to Rock – Vancouver – January 11-12, 2019

Circle Game: Reimagining the Music of Joni Mitchell – Vancouver – January 12 – February 9, 2019

The enduring music of Joni Mitchell is re-imagined in this energetic musical experience by Firehall Arts, Circle Game: Reimagining the Music of Joni Mitchell. Conceived and directed by Vancouver’s theatrical powerhouses (and spouses) Andrew Cohen & Anna Kuman. One of the most influential recording artists of the late 20th century, Joni Mitchell has often reflected on social and environmental ideals through her music. Circle Game reinterprets Mitchell’s iconic songs such as “Big Yellow Taxi”, “River”, “California” and “A Case of You” through the ears and eyes of a new generation, connecting them to the politics and world we know today. Noodle Mania Vancouver #6 – Vancouver – January 16, 2019

Noodle Mania, in its 6th annual noodle tasting extravaganza, is presented by Vancouver Foodster and Tasting Plates. Spend an evening at various restaurants around Vancouver, where each restaurant will be serving up Tasting Bowls or Plates for guests to enjoy. You will have a chance to visit many different types of restaurants throughout the event, meet some new food loving friends, meet the chefs, and learn about each of the participating restaurants. Dine Out Vancouver Festival – Vancouver – January 18 – February 3, 2019

It’s back! The largest food and dining festival in Vancouver is back for another year of delicious dining experiences. Dine Out Vancouver festival features hundreds of restaurants dishing out multi-course meals; from fine dining to family friendly and everything in-between. For 2019, the festival has also added brunch and lunch options to the regular dinner offerings. Menus are priced from $15, $25, $35 and $45 per person plus beverages, taxes, and gratuity. The restaurant listings officially launch January 10, 2019, however Aeroplan members have advance access on January 7, 2019. Lunar Eclipse Viewing Party – Vancouver – January 20, 2019

The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is hosting a special Lunar Eclipse viewing party on January 20, 2019 from 6:30pm-10:00pm. Staying open later, the space centre will play host to those who want to watch and learn about the total lunar eclipse. The observatory will also be open so viewers can check out the moon up close through the telescope. The total eclipse occurs between 8:41pm-9:43pm. The next eclipse arriving in Vancouver won’t be until 2021, so this is a great way to view it indoors.  For ticket prices and more info, visit

The Comic Strippers – Surrey – January 25, 2019

The Comic Strippers is a male stripper parody and improv comedy show for all genders, 19+ only. No extreme nudity, just extreme hilarity. A fictitious male stripper troupe (played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians) performs a sexylarious improv comedy show. These guys try to be sexy… it just comes out funny.
