A portable snack is a safe way to fuel your body good. Getting stuck without one can drive you into, well, a drive-thru…ick!

I had the pleasure of testing out the new Clif MOJO from Clif Bar & Company and man-oh-man, they are GOOD!

The fact that they’re made with at least 70 percent organic ingredients like nuts, delicious fruit and chunks of organic dark chocolate. CLIF MOJO bars are gluten-free, low glycemic and a good source of fiber!

The first bar I enjoyed was the  Coconut Almond bar, made with Organic Coconut.

My experience was really good! I liked the fact that it wasn’t too too sweet. Like Goldilocks, it was just right. The texture was like a granola bar, so you can feel the oats and coconut chunks – which is something I personally enjoy. Makes it seem much more natural than those chewy kind you buy in a box with this sailor man on it – you know who I’m talking about.

The ingredient list went something like this: organic peanuts, almonds, organic coconut, and 7 more ingredients. The least amount of ingredients, the better in my books – comparing them to the granola bars are the grocery store, these ones are great! Take a look at this picture. See that whole almond there. That’s what I’m talking about!

Ok, so now going onto the Dark Chocolate Cherry Almond  – it featured big chunks of organic dark chocolate and deep red organic cherries. The bar tasted yummy. Some crunchiness because of the nuts and a little tart from the berries. I was very hungry when I had it and it seems to be holding me off until my next meal.

The idea is to have something nourishing with you at all times so that when hunger strikes, you’ve got a great option. To date, Clif Bar & Company has purchased more than 425 million pounds of organic ingredients, which makes THEM a great option. They have zero grams trans fat and no partially-hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or synthetic preservatives.
