For me, wellness is not just about fitness and nutrition, it’s also about mental and physical well-being, balanced lifestyle, and enjoying family time. The Wellness show definitely takes in to account all aspects of wellness and health and showcasing products and services to assist you in enjoying a holistic and healthy life.
This year marked the 25th anniversary of The Wellness Show in Vancouver, this is the largest trade show of its kind in Western Canada. With about 300 exhibitors the event had so much goodness going on that it was hard to decide where to begin! From watching a vancouver executive chef (and tasting some creations!) at the celebrity cooking stake, to learning to meditate or some yoga for beginners at the Zen Fitness stage, to getting active with your kids at the Healthy Families zone, to maybe attending a lecture or presentation on health and wellness issues, or just sitting down to enjoy a hot cup of tea at the lounge. And if after walking around looking at the exhibitor booths and sampling some products you feel a little drained, a stop at the Bodhi Meditation Garden to experience an energy healing session is just the thing you need to feel refreshed and take another turn around the exhibitors in case you missed something.
I had a great time learning about some new products that included natural and calorie free, low- glycemic sweeteners, natural beauty products, healthy nutrition, fitness trends and gyms, local grocers, guilt-free treats, nutraceuticals and supplements, active wear, energy jewelry, and products to grow your own indoor herb and vegetable garden!
The Wellness Show certainly represents all areas of wellness in one weekend and in one convenient place! Hope to see you next year! Check out www.thewellnessshow.com for updates and more info for next year’s show.
