I recently stopped by Mcdonalds’s to see if they had updated their menu to include more Paleo friendly salad entreé’s.
To my surprise I came across their new Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken salad. It’s a delightful medley of fresh lettuce mix, baby kale, crumbled feta cheese, couscous, cucumber, salad mix and red pepper strips topped with a freshly grilled chicken breast.

Unfortunately I didn’t realize it came with couscous, but on second thought the amounts were so minimal that it didn’t make much difference in the end.
I would however order one without couscous to make it a bit more Paleo friendly.

All in all, it’s a very satisfying and hearty meal, clocking in at a cool 271 grams. It also comes in a decent sized salad container that’s easily sealed and transportable.
Minus the dressing, it’s very low 280 calories a serving coupled with a whopping 27 grams of protein, 12 grams of fat, and only 3 grams of sugar. This salad definitely stands out as my new “go-to” Paleo fast-food option.
Not only does it deliver on calorie and protein content, while keeping sugar content low, but it’s lower in cost to most Paleo friendly options offered by other fast-food chains.
You’ll find this entree is priced at only $7.65 CAD. Compare that with $8-$9 you typically have to pay for an equivalent salad at other fast-food restaurants.
All in all I’m happy to report that I’ve found a new contender for my top Paleo friendly salad of the month.
